Bio
Little did I know, that convincing my parents of letting me participate in a student exchange with the US state Montana would change my life forever. I fell in love with the wild North, with the untouched forests, rugged mountains and the abundance of wild animals.

As a consequence I took my first steps in the field of Nature Photography with my dad's manual Minolta SLR camera. Over the years my hobby turned into a passion and has taken me to many great places.

This planet is the ultimate gift for all human beings. We need to start treating it like that!

Stefan Christmann Felt it was time to finally post a new images to my portfolio. The snow and ice covered face really shows how tough life in Antarctica is and how well the emperor penguins have adapted to their struggle.

Hope you'll enjoy! :)

Stefan Christmann After arriving back home, I finally had some time to sort through my images again. This time I found a nice sastrugi and drifting snow image, which you can now find in my portfolio:

Stefan Christmann Finally had some time to post a new image to my portfolio. This time it's not emperor but adelie penguins. They are really funny to watch and have the coolest running style.. it always looks like they are trying to fly! :) Hope you'll enjoy! :)

Stefan Christmann Finally uploaded a new image again. It's summer here in Antarctica and the picture represents exactly the summer feeling (at least for polar regions) in my opinion! Hope you'll like it! :)

Stefan Christmann Haha, I understand! :) I guess it's something that you can only relate to, if you have spent a whole year here. -6°C is super-hot! ;)

Stefan Christmann Just added another "family" photo to my portfolio. Now that the temperatures are rising again, all chicks which are still alive stand a good chance to fully grow-up. However their parents are still very caring! Beautiful moments! :)

Hope you'll like it!

Stefan Christmann Just added another new shot to my portfolio. A baby weddell seal and its mother, peacefully napping face to face. Such a beautiful moment. Things like this always remind me, why I love nature photography so much! :) Hope you'll like it, too.

juanli sun I do love the mood and a lot of space, even can see the snow-fall, got a kind of loneliness and romance to it.
